Yesterday we welcomed Hackney’s Chris Power and New York’s Lauren Oyler to discuss their respective debut novels, A LONELY MAN, and FAKE ACCOUNTS, and it was an absolute delight! Huge thanks to Chris and Lauren for their insights into autofiction, ghost-writing, and Berlin, as well as everyone who joined us live and offered such thoughtful questions and responses. Catch up below if you missed it!
Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Hannah Dawson, a long time friend of Pages, for a virtual event to celebrate the arrival of her landmark anthology, THE PENGUIN BOOK OF FEMINIST WRITING. Hannah was joined by Shahidha Bari for a fantastic discussion exploring the process of assembling the collection, and why learning or re-learning the history of Feminism has never been more valuable.
Huge thanks to Hannah and Shahidha, as well as everybody that joined us live. If you missed out you can watch the event in three parts below.
Huge thanks to Jamie Windust and Alex Iantaffi who joined us yesterday evening for a warm, generous, and insightful discussion of gender-nonconformity, writing, and mental health. It was truly a pleasure to host this transatlantic pairing!
